Our family would like to thank you for your support of the First
Annual Keagan Klassic Memorial Golf tournament.
The tournament, established in memory of our son, Keagan Joseph
and in honor of his twin brother, Donovan Michael was able to
generate over $10,000 in financial and in-kind donations directed
toward the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Golisano
Children's Hospital, Wilson Regional Medical Center, and Ronald
McDonald House Charities. This is only possible because of
thoughtful contributions from people and organizations like
you!
After experiencing the 3 months of Donovan's care at the Golisano
Children's Hospital and Wilson Regional Medical Center, we wanted
to direct the funds derived from this tournament towards items
focused on the family- post premature birth.
Examples include:
- Rocking Chairs (donated to both hospitals) and Privacy Screens to ensure that parents are able to provide Kangaroo Care (skin to skin care) for extended periods of time.
- Toys and Games for young siblings of the premature child in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Comfort items, such as bath tubs and swings, for use by nurses at Wilson Regional Medical Center
- Various media, including television, for the family waiting area at the Golisano Children's Hospital.
- Financial donation directed toward laptop computers and wireless internet to create a cost effective way for families at the Ronald McDonald House to stay connected with family members at home, as well as research their child's illness.
This year, we plan to host the Second Annual Keagan Klassic Memorial Golf tournament. In addition to golf tournament, we plan to continue the silent auction, charity games, and post tournament entertainment. We hope for your continued support in the future.
